An online archive of field recordings of Crimean Tatar oral folklore. Project author: T. Kerimov.

The site is devoted to collecting, analysing and disseminating samples of Crimean Tatar oral folk tradition. The audio and video materials were recorded during folklore and dialectological field expeditions in Crimea by students of the Faculty of Philology of the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University; according to the recording metadata, most date from 2014–2018. The archive comprises some 300 posts, each with a record sheet giving the informant, year and place of birth, place of residence, collector, date of recording and a list of contents. It includes songs (türküler, cırlar), mane and ayneni quatrains, tales, legends and dastans, proverbs and sayings, riddles, anecdotes (latife), blessings and curses, children’s folklore, wedding, calendar and funeral customs, nicknames (lağaplar), and recollections of village life in Crimea, the deportation and life in the Urals. The material is arranged by genre, by village and region of Crimea (Sudak, Alushta, Bakhchysarai, Karasubazar, Yalta, Kefe, etc.) and by informant.
