Nowadays the work of predecessors on the systematization of prewar archival materials that reflect the specificity of the Crimean Tatar national liberation movement is being kept on. As a result, it is necessary to underline that the national periodical press of pre-war and wartime periods (1883 1944) performs not only as a chronological and entertainment source but also it appears to be a main component of the development of Muslim ethnic and pedagogical ideas in the Crimea. The local press gives a complete analysis of subscribers’ interests and needs as well as it regards important issues that are meant to prevent social and political, and economic illiteracy of the community. This is an ideological confrontation between the intelligentsia and the clergy; unequal relationship between the spouses in the family; linguistic and graphical similarity, or, on the contrary, estrangement of Turkic people; qualitative development of new branches of civil and military issues; democratization of education.
