A course within the Crimean Tatar Mobile Lessons, teaching love of the homeland through knowledge of history, language and culture.
▸ Crimean Tatar communities living far from the centre of Crimea have mostly been cut off from cultural and social life for a long time. This is due not only to geographic distance but also to villagers' commitment to farming, livestock breeding and similar traditional work. Since their return to Crimea, many have never had the chance to visit national cultural institutions such as theatres, museums and libraries. This also undermines the efforts of Crimean Tatar television, radio and newspapers to shape national consciousness and values. In local schools, Crimean Tatar language and literature is taught only twice a week and only as an elective.
