The book presents the literary and journalistic heritage of the newspaper «Millet» (1917–1920), the press organ of the First Qurultay period. Its textological value lies in the transliteration, systematisation and scholarly annotation of a corpus previously available only in rare copies, bringing the periodical into scholarly use as a primary source for the history of the national movement. The work continues the author's research on the history of the Crimean Tatar press and the contributors to «Millet».

The collection presents, for the first time in Russian translation, the literary and journalistic works of the educator and journalist Ethem Feyzi (Gözaydın). It combines translation with bio-bibliographical research, turning early twentieth-century texts into a source for the social and cultural life of Crimea. The topic continues the author's articles on Feyzi in the Crimean Historical Review (2026) and Philology. Theory & Practice (2025).

The programme deals with the history of the Crimean Tatar flag, the meaning of its field and emblem, and the link between national symbolism and the Giray dynasty. In essence it concerns the reception and interpretation of national symbols adopted and discussed in the press of the First Qurultay period (1917). For a historian of literature and journalism, the topic connects to how the symbols of the national movement became established in political journalism.
